Kakes & Kanvas has the sweetest service in Calgary. You will be greeted with a smile and open ears. Our custom cakes are a collaboration between our wonderful customers and our passionate baker. What does size and layers mean?
Your cake is made of either 2 or 3 layers of cake. Each layer is separated by a layer of filling.

What's the difference between a cake layer and a cake tier?
Each tier is an individual cake stacked on eachother. A tiered cake is assembled using food safe supports for strength and stability.

When to order?

Much like an empire, a custom cake isn't built in a day we're sorry to say. We book out weeks in advance. To be safe and ensure the best results and availability, we recommend giving us as much notice as possible.

Recommended notice for availability: 1 month
Required minimum notice: 1 week

Note for last minute requests: We will do our best to accommodate last minute requests but this will be subject to availability and the complexity of the cake's design.

How much does a custom cake cost?

The price of custom cakes varies depending on the request.  If special ingredients and materials are required this will increase the price

Time is the biggest contributor to the price of the cake! We put our heart and soul into every cake and we want to give your cake the time it deserves.  The more intricate or time consuming the cake's design the more it will cost.


Need a gulten free or vegan custom cake?

You can request gluten or vegan friendly options for sure! Just mention it in the form and we can discuss further details.

Please know that we work in a kitchen which uses gluten and non-vegan ingredients, we do what we can to avoid cross contamination but it still may occur.
